Meet Demacy.

Demacy’s pronouns are She/Her/Hers.

Birth Doula | Postpartum Doula| Yoga | Reiki

Demacy Monte-Parker is a North Carolina native, mother and wife. She has a passion for supporting birthing people before, during, and after making the transition into parenthood. After becoming a mother in 2018, Demacy’s career path shifted to teaching yoga and her love for spirituality blossomed. She received her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification from Asheville Yoga Center in 2019 and currently teaches at Brevard Yoga Center, Brevard Racquet Club, and Skyterra Wellness Retreat in Brevard, North Carolina. You can find her at the beautiful Elements Wellness Spa spreading her magic there. She holds a Reiki Level 2 certification, creates handmade malas, and uses intuitive card readings as a way to facilitate healing within.

Demacy’s passion for nature, herbal remedies, spiritual healing, and energy work has driven her philosophy surrounding birth and postpartum. She completed her DONA birth doula training in May of 2021. She believes that taking care of the whole being can deepen our awareness and help us live the lives that we deserve. Mindfulness is a very important tool in her teachings and is weaved into everything that she does. Her doula support goes beyond just birth. The tools you develop will support you in the many days to come.

Demacy is a beautiful spirit with a kind soul. She shares art and yoga business with her husband, Ethan in which you can book your own yoga and/or art class.

How did you decide to become a doula?
My first birth was an induction at 37 weeks due to high blood pressure with no other signs of preeclampsia. It was an unexpected pregnancy which caused a lot of uncertainty surrounding the outcome of this transition. This pushed me into wanting to support other individuals who may be dealing with the same issues and help them find other ways to manage the stress that may come with their pregnancy.

What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?

My favorite way to spend a day off is simply relaxing at home and prioritizing self-care. I enjoy taking hikes in nature. I love spending time with my 3 year old son and husband.

If you could take a month long trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I would love to visit Africa and learn more about the culture there. I’d love to explore the ancestral and spiritual roots that exist within the communities.

You have a whole weekend to binge watch TV, what’s on your list?

I rarely watch TV but I really enjoyed watching throwback shows like Sister Sister and Half & Half.
