Christine worked as an independent doula both in Illinois and North Carolina, prior to opening Doulas of Asheville in 2016.
Christine has a B.A. in Psychology from Miami University and a Master’s of Public Policy from The University of Chicago. Elizabeth added "doula" to her credentials in 2014 after a decade as a Registered Nurse, eight years of which she worked in the postpartum/mother-baby unit of a busy hospital in Charlotte, NC. Elizabeth has cared for thousands of mothers and their new babies as a nurse, and as a doula she brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and compassion to her clients. In addition to her work with Doulas of Asheville as a doula, childbirth educator, and placenta encapsulator, she is also currently a Labor & Delivery RN at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.
While she loves her career as a nurse, Elizabeth is happy to be able to support her doula, placenta encapsulation, and childbirth education clients in a different way, building long-lasting relationships and being a constant pillar of unbiased support for growing families.
Elizabeth earned her BSN from The University of Evansville. She is a CAPPA Certified Labor Doula and a ProDoula Pre-Certified Postpartum & Infant Care Doula, Labor Doula, Childbirth Educator, and Postpartum Placenta Specialist.
Elizabeth shares her Arden, NC home with her husband, daughter, son, and their dog. Learn more about Elizabeth here.
